Industry: Automotive component manufacturing

Problem(s): (i) 20+ percent turnover rate among temporary staff; (ii) Could not maximize production on 3rd shift due to lack of qualified Assemblers

Strategy: We began our “two week blitz” program centered specifically on 3rd shift candidates. Not only did we arrange in-office meetings, but for selected candidates, we went to them.

Result: Half way through our strategy we had already interviewed over 45 candidates for 12 positions. Additionally, we had staffed 8 of the 12 positions

At the conclusion of our “two week blitz”, we had not only staffed the majority of client’s 3rd shift, but we had staffed nearly 50% of their 2nd shift.

Average turnover rates dropped from mid-20% to 8% in just under 3 months.

Industry: Electronics Manufacturing

Problem(s): Won a large, new contract that would require production to begin in 3 weeks. High single digit solderers and assemblers were needed across multiple shifts.

Solution: We held multiple job fairs both on site through various contacts and resources and at our offices. Events were targeted both by position and by shift preference.

Result: By employing very proactive measures and tailoring the marketing efforts in a way that maximized quality applicants, Spectrum was able to staff the entire first shift needs within 10 days and staffed the client’s 3rd shift needs before production started.

Spectrum has remained the client’s sole staffing provider for just over 18 months. Approximately half of the original placements received full time offers of employment.
